Revere’s Riders is a 501 (c) (3) organization that is dedicated to teaching American’s the lost art of rifle and pistol marksmanship interspersed with stories from the Revolutionary War. Revere’s Riders sponsors nationwide events ranging from live-fire marksmanship training events to youth events to civic engagement.

As an all-volunteer non-profit organization, Revere’s Riders largely relies on contributions from it’s membership to provide the infrastructure to run the organization. One of the challenges faced by Revere’s Riders was that it lacked the expertise to implement an online system dedicated to selling tickets for it’s events. As an alternative, they used the hosted service Picatic which fulfilled basic event ticket sales functionality but added extra costs and was not customizable.

Cardinal Acres Web Development revamped their existing WordPress website with a new customized theme and a WooCommerce-based ticketing system. Modern Tribe’s Event Tickets Plus/The Events Calendar PRO was chosen for it’s integration with WooCommerce which in turn gave access to the rich and extensive set of WooCommerce extensions, including WooCommerce Memberships.

With the new integrated ticketing system, Revere’s Riders no longer needs to pay fees for a hosted ticketing solution and can utilize those funds to further their core mission instead.
